A planning practice built entirely around bitcoin.
Jessy has spent more than a decade in the financial industry. He started at a large firm, where he kept watching one-size-fits-all advice meet people whose lives didn't fit the mold — which became the thing he wanted to fix. He moved to progressively smaller practices to get closer to the actual work, earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation along the way, and served as Programs Chair for the Financial Planning Association of Northern California.
From there he joined Unchained and helped develop the planning structures that bitcoin-native families now take for granted: donor-advised funds seeded with appreciated bitcoin, IRAs with multisig key control, the Unchained Inheritance Protocol.
He then founded Unchained's subsidiary Sound Advisory (today known as Gannett Wealth), which focused on financial planning for people who take bitcoin seriously. Verify Wealth is the next chapter. Bitcoin-focused. Privacy-centric.
Away from the practice, he's most likely outside with his wife and their two boys, on skis when the season cooperates. He will also make a strong case for sushi or ribeye at basically any hour.
Meet with JessyPlanning starts with the relationship.
Kevin spent nearly a decade as a solutions engineer in the SaaS space, solving complex problems for clients and building relationships that outlasted any single deal. His passion for personal finance sent him after his Series 65 and CFP® exam, which he's currently working through the experience requirement toward full certification. This transition led to him joining Jessy in the launch of Verify Wealth, bringing that same problem-solving instinct to people's financial lives instead of their software stack.
For Kevin, planning starts with the relationship, not the plan. He wants clients to walk away knowing not just what to do with their money, but what it's actually for — helping them find meaning and purpose in their wealth, not just a bigger number. He treats a financial plan less like a static document and more like product development: build the strategy, implement it, watch what happens, and iterate — the same loop he ran for years in tech, only pointed at a balance sheet instead of a workflow.
When not working with clients, he and his wife are busy keeping up with their four kids, two boys and two girls, and are usually outside because of it. They love mountain biking, dirt bikes, wake surfing, and golf to name a few activities.
